There are many ways you can support the BA’s mission. Your gift may be unrestricted in use or restricted to a specific program, purpose, or endowment fund. Most contributions qualify for a charitable deduction for federal and state income tax purposes. As with all financial considerations, we encourage you to discuss potential tax advantages and other aspects of charitable giving with your attorney, tax advisor, or financial consultant.

Here are some ways you may give:

Outright Gifts
The most common form of charitable contribution is the outright gift of cash, securities, or property. These gifts can range from small donations of cash or property to large endowments. To make a gift click here or call 800-662-9937.

Unrestricted or Restricted Gifts
Unrestricted gifts provide the most flexibility to the BA because they can be used at the discretion of the Board of Trustees to meet current, changing, or urgent needs. When a restricted gift is made, donors designate how and where they would like their gift to be used. Restricted gifts may be made to support the Christian Science Nursing Arts training program, Patient Benevolence, Building Maintenance and Capital Improvements or to one of our endowments.

Gifts of Endowment
An endowment gift demonstrates a far-sighted commitment to the BA. An endowment is a fund that is maintained in perpetuity. Only a portion of the annual investment return is used for the purposes specified by the donor. The BA has four modest endowments: Excellence in Christian Science Nurses Training Instruction Fund, Patient Benevolence Endowment, Christian Science Nurses Training Endowment, and General Endowment.
