Residence Features

The Residential Program is provided to meet the needs of active, practicing Christian Science church members who wish to continue their demonstration of home in an environment supportive of on-going individual spiritual progress, and free from the responsibilities of owning or managing a house or apartment. The amenities covered in the monthly rent that help support their demonstration include:

• Heat, air-conditioning, hot water, electrical, basic satellite television, and available high-speed internet service
• Free in-house and local outside telephone system with voicemail. (Calls outside the Boston metropolitan area can also be made, i.e, to area code 413 in western Massachusetts and beyond, but are billed to the resident.)
• Private bathrooms in all rooms and suites with either walk-in showers or tub/shower combinations and available safety grab-bars
• Housekeeping and full maintenance services, including laundering of the BA’s bed linens and towels when used, weekly vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning of lavatories, grounds-keeping, plumbing, heating/air-conditioning, and general maintenance, plus 24-hour security and Front Desk coverage.
• Laundry rooms in each wing equipped with washers, dryers, and ironing stations
• Use of common areas throughout the building—study rooms, sitting rooms, larger living room spaces, the chapel, and the dining room.
