This year’s Christian Science Nursing Arts Graduation held on Sunday, March 10th was a wonderful celebration. There was a full house and standing room only as graduates’ friends and family came from across the country to be with them for the ceremony. The twelve graduates in the Class of 2013 were from six Christian Science nursing facilities as seen in our Ceremony Program. We were so pleased that every facility with a graduate in this class sent either their Executive Director, Christian Science nurse directors, or both, to be at Graduation. They came from California, Georgia, Texas, Missouri, Virginia, and of course Boston, in support of these graduates – and this is the first time we’ve had every facility represented in this way.
This was an exceptional class and especially noted for the depth and breadth of their Christian Science nursing practice. Though they have just graduated, we have already seen this breadth and depth in a number of avenues of practice as each graduate was supported with side-by-side mentoring. This class has supported healings with children, teens, and adults in the healing refuge of a facility and outpatient room, with individuals in their own homes, through visiting services, and at Christian Science summer camps. We are deeply grateful for these new graduates and for the healing they are bringing to mankind through their consecrated service in this holy calling.
Here is a list of the Class of 2013 along with the Christian Science nursing facility that supported them during their 3 ½ years of training and where they had the mentoring portion of their training. For your reference, Arden Wood is in San Francisco; The Leaves is in Richardson, Texas; Lynn House is in Alexandria, Virginia; Morning Light Foundation is in Marietta, Georgia and Peace Haven is in St. Louis, Missouri.

It may be “un-Scientific” to say that reading about our new graduate Christian Science nurses gave me goosebumps! I am so grateful for newly dedicated nurses who are willing and ready to aid loyal followers of Christian Science in their healing progress. Their loving support is so appreciated! I’m grateful for everyone involved!
with love and gratitude,
Carolyn
Dear Carolyn, Hey.Good to see your name. Trust all is well with you. Don and I are north of Albany, near Vermont border and near the grand children. I ditto what you said about the wonderful nurses. Love, Becky
Congratulations to each of you! and to all who have supported and blessed your committment to healing.
You are so welcomed and so needed. I am looking forward to working with you as we serve our Christian Science members in any way that is needed.
Each of you is so honored and blessed as you meet the challenges with such lovingkindness and courage, with the expectation of healing.
The field is always stronger as the graduates in every class go back to their respective facilities.
This class with some staying here at the BA and others going to the facilities that supported them are bringing with them to those facilities the blessing of the breadth of their nursing practice.
