The keynote speaker at this year’s Christian Science Nurses Training School Graduation moved the audience to tears, laughter and a standing ovation.

Recently the BA had the pleasure of talking with retired Army Colonel Janet Horton, who is currently the Endorser for The Christian Science Chaplain program at The Mother Church in Boston. We’ll be sharing excerpts with you from our discussion on our website and blog.

We asked Colonel Horton how Christian Science and its teaching fit into the military environment, and this is what she told us…
“I think that it is equal to and it’s what’s perfect for anything that life can bring you. I think in the military chaplaincy you have an opportunity to uplift thought. That thought can get very much into scholastic theology….” Click to hear the audio…

    I have heard that Col. Horton met with a delegation from Bosnia–they wanted to know how Americans manage to get along with one another despite having so many denominations. Is it published in one of the Christian Science publications?
