1. Christian Science Nurses Training School — Our next CSNA I class (Introductory Christian Science Nursing Arts) starts June 14. Applications will be accepted through the end of May. 2. Christian Science Nursing Youth Service Corps – Look for the interview in this newsletter of Joe Krantz, CSNYSC service participant to the BA, who graduated from the program this month. We are looking forward to more service participants starting in September 2022. Here is a link to the application for 2022 – 2023. Applications are due August 19th. A great opportunity to live in Boston near The Mother Church with a paid position and housing included.
3. Charity Navigator recently gave the Benevolent Association a rating of 100 out of 100 based on Finance and Accountability. The score is an assessment of the BA’s financial health (stability, efficiency, and sustainability) and its commitment to governance practices and policies based on a review of the BA’s IRS Form 990. Charity Navigator is the world’s largest and most trusted nonprofit evaluator.
4. New Dining Services – The BA is committed to maintaining the highest standards and level of service to our patients, residents, and guests. Following an extensive ten-month review of top food service management companies, a decision was made to hire NexDine Hospitality for the operations and management of the BA’s dining and housekeeping services. The transition to NexDine Hospitality will be completed July 10, 2022. Some of NexDine’s offerings that will greatly bless our patients, residents, and guests are: 100% fresh ingredients and made-from-scratch cooking, specialized dining options and programs, and restaurant style dining.
5. New heating and cooling in the Carriage House and the Chapel – Just in time for summer and events in the Chapel, new heating and cooling units are being installed. The work in both locations will be completed in June. Here are some photos of the work in progress.
