Janiva’s Post: A love note from the BA

Valentine’s Day is next week and what better time for a “love” note to all our volunteers, friends, and supporters. You all mean so much to the BA. You give in countless ways.

Volunteers extraordinaire

You volunteer thousands of hours to support the BA’s mission. You read and conduct church services for patients. You help us with tasks that bless our administrative staff throughout the campus. You mark the Christian Science Quarterly Bible Lessons and you create original holiday cards for patients. You serve on board committees. You present informative and compelling talks on wide-ranging topics of interest to patients and residents. You give metaphysical talks to staff that help support their spiritual journey. Your concerts bring harmony and joy to all. You have adopted flower boxes and keep them filled with seasonal beauty. You tirelessly tend to gardens throughout the campus. You take on special projects requiring many loving hearts and hands that help to transform the BA.

Support from the heart

Your heartfelt gifts bring endless blessings to the BA. You have paid off our long-standing loan leaving the BA debt-free. You support our operations and our Christian Science Nurses Training School. You give monthly to sustain us and you give the widow’s mite. You are a first-time donor and you have contributed to the BA for decades. Yours is truly the “love currency” spoken of in Miscellany.

Best friends

You are the epitome of what it means to be a friend. Your friendship for the BA lasts through the decades. You send us notes of encouragement and you write letters of healing from your experiences with Christian Science nursing. You attend our graduations and support our new graduates. You like us on Facebook and you read our e-news and print newsletters. You share our messages of healing with others.

Our staff and trustees all join me in love and gratitude for your many gifts to the BA.

Thank you. It makes me want to do more. I can love you all more. My nurse in Mich., visits me with comfort and so much joy. Jeanne Troutman is an angel! Hugs!
