Update – The Daystar Subsidy Fund

OB cupola really wide crop (small)A blessing for senior Christian Scientists

You may remember that earlier this year we announced the establishment of The Daystar Subsidy Fund to support the Benevolent Association’s Independent Living. The assets of Daystar Foundation and its Home in Needham, Massachusetts were lovingly given to the BA for this purpose. We are grateful to update you on our progress.

A prayerful answerDaystar Foundation Fund and Home sold by Colliers International

The Home in Needham was put on the market with Colliers International and sold on July 8, 2014 to The Congregational Church of Needham. This Church is a neighbor to the Daystar Home; in fact they are located next door. At the closing the Reverend mentioned that she felt the sale was a result of prayer and that the Church intended to honor the prayerful atmosphere that had been maintained by the Home and its residents.

Apartments still availableHome

The proceeds of the sale of Daystar Home have been used to establish a fund (The Daystar Subsidy Fund) to subsidize several Independent Living apartments at the BA. This is a great blessing for senior Christian Scientists seeking affordable housing and a great blessing for the Benevolent Association. We have two apartments still available at this affordable pricing and would love to be in touch with anyone interested in finding out more about this opportunity.
