Cultural, recreational, and Christian Science venues are just a few minutes away
In a recent video, Monty Haas describes what he thinks makes living at the BA unique, below is an excerpt.
In the five years I’ve been here, I’ve had the joy of meeting and interviewing Christian Science nurses, college professors, book authors and illustrators, Christian Science lecturers, chaplains, graduate students, the list goes on and on. And all of these wonderful people add to the vibrancy and uplifting atmosphere that everyone feels here at the BA.
And, let’s not forget that you also have the privilege of being at the hub of Christian Science activities, with Longyear Museum, the Mary Baker Eddy Library, and The Mother Church just down the street. Last but not least, I don’t know about you, but having a couple of award-winning gourmet chefs prepare my meals every day would be a real added bonus to calling the BA home. As I said at the outset, each day unfolds like a divine adventure. There’s a grand opportunity right now, here at the BA, for individuals looking for the next step in their spiritual growth and progress. Here’s a community they’ll love belonging to and growing with.

When we began sharing with friends 10 years ago that we were moving to the BA, they said, “oh, you’re moving into the city.” True, we’re close to all those things that Monty talks about, but also we’re on a wooded property with much of the same type of forest floor that we had on our suburban property over 20 miles away. Frankly, we feel that we’ve got the best of both worlds!
