Pinterest and the BA – Should we be pinning?

For those of you who are wondering how Pinterest could support the BA we think sharing our images could be a window into the beauty, harmony, and healing atmosphere of Christian Science Nursing.

Pinterest is one of the fastest growing photo-sharing websites in the world of social media with more than 48 million users. And we’re wondering if this should be our next entrée into more web-interaction with you.

If you are just learning about Pinterest, it is an inspiring site where individuals and companies share photos categorized by topics, or as they are referred to on Pinterest, “pin boards.” Each pin board has a topic where photos are added for sharing. Each “pin,” as they are called, consists of a photo and an area to comment on that photo. Here at The BA we have been thinking about this a great deal because we have noticed how much our followers love our photos on Facebook. We would use Pinterest to share photos of nature at the BA, the recipes from our great chef, and offer inspiration through expressive imagery.

Even if you do not want to join Pinterest, you would still be able to enjoy the BA’s images by visiting a unique link on Pinterest (watch for updates in future newsletters).
Now we need to know – what do you think? Should we start pinning?

I love Pinterest, and pin regularly on it. Sites on Gardens are among the most loved. I enjoy them the most and my garden “Board” is visited regularly. I have a Board I love myself, based on the recent lesson on substance as thought. It is a mixture of C.S., Martin Luther King, Dolly Parton et al. I don’t mind if you try Robert Dyer Pinterest, especially if you like Westies!
Not all C.S. sites are successul there. Remember it is a bad place for preaching. But I am most delighted if someone “repins” my Science and Health as an unusual book worth reading. It is usually my cover, though not today.
