Wonderful interview, both Steve and Whitney! I’m glad the dear mother turkey was highlighted! I have heard so many residents and staff talk about seeing them. I have witnessed lots of evening roosting rituals, but haven’t yet seen a turkey gather her brood like that. I’m sure it is an image that will stay with you. And Whitney: thanks again for the informative birding program you presented to us a while back. Birdsong fascinates me — a total mystery code to me, but lots of communication going on there, back and forth!
