Boston area: Dynamic non-profit (<$8M) Medicare provider seeks experienced Controller:

  • Prepares annual budget of approximately $8M
  • Prepares monthly cost allocations, supporting schedules, and monthly financial statements
  • Key role with annual audits and working with external auditors to prepare schedules and reconciliations and ensure audits completed  in timely manner
  • Ensures sound non-profit accounting practices
  • Responsible for timely submission of  charity reports in several states and other compliance reports
  • Prepare Medicare cost reporting schedules for consultant
  • Responsible for all aspects of general ledger and bank reconciliations
  • Oversees Accounts Receivable, and Payable and provides technical assistance as needed to HR for payroll changes
  • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly cash position and track forecasting reports
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • College degree  in Accounting; 10+ years professional accounting experience required
  • CPA or equivalent essential
  • Experience with Dynamics/Great Plains software a plus
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management, board, & financial institutions
