Marketing Assistant

As a key part of our Marketing Communications team, you’ll assist with the BA’s social media activities and other communications projects, make updates to the BA website, provide photography for on-site events, and help the Marketing Communications Manager with other projects as needed.  This work will support BA programs including Christian Science nursing, the Christian Science Nurses Training School, Rest and Study, and The Residences at 910.


This position reports to the Marketing Communications Manager and will work on projects related to marketing and development, and other BA programs as directed.   Responsibilities:

  • Assist with social media campaigns including layout, photo editing, scheduling, and posting
  • Post updates and content to the BA WordPress website
  • Assist with email marketing campaigns including layout, distribution, and analytics
  • Assist in design of print and digital marketing materials
  • Take and edit photographs for use in social media, print, and digital projects
  • Support other marketing activities as needed including events and administrative tasks
  • Participate in training and ongoing educational opportunities
  • Other duties in support of marketing and development as directed 



Ability to approach communications projects with metaphysical maturity and a healing tone.  Essential job-related experience or skills required include:

  • 1+ years of experience in a marketing or similar role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience posting and working with WordPress sites
  • Experience with email marketing programs such as MailChimp or Constant Contact
  • Enthusiasm for collaboration and working within a team
  • Strong project and time management skills
  • Experience with MS Office, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign, and WordPress websites
  • Excellent proof-reading skills
  • Some graphic design experience preferred
  • Membership in The First Church of Christ, Scientist, Boston, MA required
