Christian Science Nurses Training School
The Christian Science Nurses Training School provides a structured comprehensive training program and individual courses, Christian Science Nursing Arts program (“CSNA”), that address the standard of the Church Manual By-law “Christian Science Nurse” through the classroom teaching of and mentored instruction in ethics, principles, qualities, and skills essential to the practice of Christian Science nursing.
The purpose of the Christian Science Nursing Arts training is to support members of The Mother Church as they meet the requirements of the Manual By-law by calling forth in training what is called for in these requirements (see Church Manual by our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, Art. VIII, Sect. 31).
“The beauty of the [Christian Science Nursing Arts] training I received was in its completeness. We were learning the importance of keeping spiritually-minded at all times so as to be both metaphysically and practically prepared for any situation. We were learning to nurse with impartiality, without prejudice, in ways that are safe, practical, and compassionate. Jesus gave us the standard from which to nurse our fellow man. The training we have received has given us the [support] to reach that standard.”
