Your help is needed for 2024 improvements & upgrades

Your gifts to the General Fund are vital to the healing purpose of the Benevolent Association. They provide for our Christian Science nursing services, help support our Christian Science nurses training program, maintain onsite housing for Christian Science nurses, purchase new equipment, and make needed repairs.

With the start of the new year, we’re sharing some of the new equipment and essential projects on our list. Your gifts to the General Fund help make these possible.

ELEVATOR REPAIRS

New door and mechanism for the main elevator in the Original Building. After decades of service this door needs replacing.

NEW BEDS & MATTRESSES

State-of-the-art beds and mattresses are more comfortable for patients and easier for Christian Science nurses to move around. They include technology that integrates with our patient call system. Quantity of three needed.

NEW CARPETING

Our existing carpeting in the Dining Room of the Original Building has served us well for decades. Fresh new carpeting will be greatly appreciated by residents, guests, and staff.

NEW PATIO FURNITURE

Durable, weather-proof chairs and tables are needed for patients and their families to enjoy the Christian Science Nursing Building patio.

COMPUTER REPLACEMENT

There are 40 computers in use at the BA that will be obsolete by the end of 2024 - not able to support current software or operating systems. Costs include new computers, installation of all hardware and software, and software licenses.

CHRISTIAN SCIENCE STUDY BOOKS

What a gift to provide our patients while they are staying at the BA! The books include new, fresh copies of the Bible, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Prose Works, Church Manual, and both the original and the new Christian Science Hymnal. The need is for 37 sets for our patient rooms and Christian Science Nursing department, and 3 sets with markers for our Christian Science Nurses Training School.
